TAKE SOME TIME OUT

You don't have to be on call 24/7. You don't have to answer every personal phone call or email immediately. Take time to relax at home with your loved ones when you can. Recharge your batteries, as it were.

Make time to talk with God. When your priorities in life are God and your loved ones, all else thereafter will naturally fall into place.

FORGIVE AND MOVE ON

Forgive and move on. The longer you hold on to past hurts, the longer rancour has a chance to brew within the heart. Eventually bitterness may become a poison which seeps into every part of life. Move on emotionally. Life is too short and sweet to harbour anger.

WHEN YOU NEED HELP

Remember when something in your life gets out of sync, God is there to help you get back on track. You are a marvellous, complex being. God has vested interest in getting you serene, complete, whole and holy into Heaven. Trust that God will succeed in His task to achieve your holiness.

As for His Help. This is called prayer.

EARLY TO REST

Go to bed early. Your eye-health, your rested mind and your general physical health will thank you for it.

INJUSTICE

The best answer for injustice at the hands of another is to recover, rejuvenate, re-invent yourself and have a marvellous new life away from the toxicity which went before.

GOOD TIME-KEEPING

Keep your clock and wake-up alarm twenty to thirty minutes ahead. This way, despite unexpected events, you will usually be in time for work and appointments.

DON'T SHOW YOUR PIN NUMBER

Don't let others see you putting in your pin number at an ATM - really don't.

Shield the pin number with your hand.

REPAIR YOUR CAR

Repair that rattle in the car before you find yourself stranded miles from home in the dark, in a secluded spot.

Car safety keeps you, fellow motorists and pedestrians safe.

YOUR CHURCH

Support your church - you will need your church's support one day. Don't let them find you to be a stranger.

DON'T HOARD

Don't hoard.

Remember: if you haven't used an item in over a year, it's probable that you don't need it.

If you no longer need an item, give that item - in good, repaired and washed condition - to someone who does need it.

There are wonderful places called Charity shops. Donate house equipment, clothing, books, CD's, DVD's, china and so on to these worthy causes.

When you need to buy something, buy a pre-loved item at a church or charity shop.

Your un-needed items thus make good income for the charity shop's worthy cause, and you make good revenue when you buy needed pre-loved items at bargain stores.

It's a win-win situation.

DON'T GET INTO DEBT

Don't get into debt. If you haven't got the money, save until you can pay for what is needed.

If you take a loan, you will end up paying a lot of interest over time.

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT

Don't waste your money - you'll cry over it years later.

MEND IN TIME

Do mend your clothing - it's true, "a stitch in time saves nine".

CLEANLINESS

Do keep yourself, your clothing, your house and your environment clean.

Cleanliness is next to godliness.

REST

Have a full day of rest at regular intervals. You need to recharge your batteries.

Abuse the wonder that is your God-given body long enough with over-work, over-stress, under-rest and wrong food and eventually poor health bill will come home to roost.

EXERCISE DUE CAUTION

Always exercise due caution in business dealings with others. It doesn't matter who it is - get the business deal, payment terms, contract, loan or receipt in writing. Get it correctly signed, dated and witnessed.

And keep a copy elsewhere.

PRACTISE SELF-CONTROL

Don't hand over the reins of your decision - making powers to the tyranny of alcohol, drugs, jealousy or hatred. You - and others - will live to regret it.

Practise self-control.
